A pair of suspicious packages were delivered to Kari Lake’s Phoenix campaign office on Sunday, prompting a response from the Phoenix Fire Department’s hazardous materials crew, the police, and then the FBI, multiple outlets are now reporting.
The two envelopes have been sent to Quantico for analysis, and the campaign is waiting for those results before re-opening the office, just two days ahead of the election.
The media, who quickly blamed Kari Lake’s campaign for a minor break-in at a Hobbs campaign office that turned out to be a homeless guy engaging in petty theft, have not pointed ANY fingers for the threatening envelopes sent to Lake’s campaign.
The staff member who opened the envelopes is under medical observation.
“Just two days before Election Day, our campaign headquarters remains shut down. We look forward to law enforcement completing their investigation as quickly as possible. Rest assured, we are taking this security threat incredibly seriously, and we are thankful for the Phoenix PD, FBI, first responders, bomb squad, and HazMat crews that responded to this incident. In the meantime, know that our resolve has never been higher and we cannot be intimidated,” said the campaign in a statement.
Again, the MSM is not interested in the story. The wire service version will show up many times in search, which those news outlets that reprint it automatically will claim consitutes them covering it. But they aren’t looking into it and they definitely aren’t pointing fingers or making a big national conversation over rhetoric out of it.
