You have the right to remain silent? Not according to the January 6th committee, which is prosecuting people over protecting privilege and holding them in contempt for failure to play along. And add to that list, the CHAIRMAN of the committee Bennie Thompson saying that invoking that fifth amendment right is an admission of guilt!
That is LITERALLY the reason it’s spelled out. So you can remain silent WITHOUT it being an admission of guilt!
The quote itself was borderline unintelligible. “If he’s saying, okay I’ll come but I’ll plead the fifth, then in some instances, that say you are part and parcel guilty to what occured.”
Yeah if you want to know the legal definition of “part and parcel guilty” join the club. Anyway watch Maddow tacitly agree by grunt and lack of follow-up.
The King of the January 6 Clown Committee, @BennieGThompson, said that if you choose to plead the 5th, you’re guilty.

The Democrats want their Stalinist purge and so far it looks like they’re going to get it in every area, from January 6 to mocking Ilhan Omar to talking about vaccines.
These people really can’t hide their ignorance of and contempt for the constitution, can they?
