‘HERE WE GO AGAIN’: Pence slams ‘politically charged’ Trump prosecution, defends RIGHT to PROTEST as Jon Karl sputters

“I would just hope for better,” said former Vice President Mike Pence on Sunday, speaking with ABC’s Jon Karl on This Week about the news, shared by President Trump on Saturday, that the far-left, Soros-funded Manhattan DA is planning to arrest the Trump on Tuesday.

Pence said it’s not what the American people want. He called it far left. He called out the DA. He called out rampant crime in New York and the idiocy and hypocrisy of yet another political persecution instead of dealing with the real world that the city’s citizens live in every day.

This is the right thing to do and the right thing to say. He also defended the idea of protest and said it’s our right to do so as Americans, which Jon Karl responded to by saying “absolutely BUT…”

That “but” said it all to me for Karl, who was himself disgraceful the whole interview.

Watch:

Now look, not all his answers were perfect. In the next portion he was pretty slippery about January 6 and tried to have it both ways. But this ain’t a perfect world. I mean MAGA ain’t gonna make Pence the next president anyway, that’s for dang sure.

But even with the performative tightrope walking and equivocation on some things, he was pretty clear about this BULLpuckey prosecution, to my mind, and that’s a really good thing. I mean honestly it ought to be the bare minimum for a Republican right now to condemn this. Any Republican.

Whether they live in Texas, Indiana or even, you know, Florida.
