Here’s a few highlights from the John Dean hearing today…

The Judiciary Committee’s John Dean hearing today is nothing but kabuki theater to help Democrats attempt to manufacture the will to impeach Trump even though he’s done nothing wrong.

Here are a few highlights from the hearing today that you might like.

First, Rep. Doug Collins chides Democrats for bringing a witness who practically invented obstruction of justice, saying “the 70s wants their star witness back”:

Next, John Dean admits that he’s not there as a fact witness:

Finally, Jim Jordan rips into Dean for advising Michael Cohen’s lawyer, Lanny Davis, to obstruct the House Oversight Committee by delaying his testimony from Republicans:

  1. Your headline is unfair to Kabuki Theater… it at least has a point, delivers a moral, and is done with a semblance of style. Dean’s “testimony” is just about something he is not familiar with, and he allowed himself to be drawn out of obscurity as a dusty old prop for whatever the Demwit Party wants to use him for. It’s meaningless tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

  2. Having John Dean fronting an obstruction circus is like having Louis Farrakhan fronting a panel against anti-semitism.

    1. Or like the Iranians headed up the UN’s human rights council. Wait, that really happened. My bad.

  3. JOHN DEAN?! Has there been a time wharp and the dems are trying to get Nixon to resign?? AGAIN??? What the ?!!!!

  5. Hey Dean – I was in the audience in the late ‘70s at your lecture when you peddled your crap going on and on about Nixon did this and that and you patted yourself on the back as the youngest presidential council etc.. Thats when you had hair. You were a slime then as you are now. Time to go back to jail – loser.

  6. Just like shyster Mueller, Dean flushed down the toilet, any remaining sense of dignity… is this what happens when you hate Trump?

  7. The Dodo clip about Evita the baby goat was adorable! I am pleased to see this little animal shelter in Greece because when I lived there for a time, many years ago, the dogs and cats just ran loose on the streets, roads, and fields, scrounging what they could. And little Evita would have wound up on some family’s outdoor spit.

  9. And the Campaign to drive up Trump’s “negatives” swings into a new and fruitless effort.

  11. To call up John Dean is an embarrassment. If he is the best they have the Dems need to give up and go home. We’d all be better off for it too.

    1. Apparently, the dems think they are earning their pay (what they get from us, not what they get from satan-soros for their RESIST movement)…..I say WE send them all home! VOTE ‘EM ALL OUT!!!

    2. Is the propaganda machine telling people this guys record? I don’t watch them but I’m betting they don’t, and won’t.

    1. @atomicsentinel Let me get this straight. You don’t think he did anything wrong other than post the video online where he would be caught and busted for not doing anything wrong. You should have your license revoked and never issued another one.

        1. @atomicsentinel Everyone’s. We have been through this before at length, and I am all too aware of you believing you should be able to drive through school zones at 80 mph because you aren’t hurting anyone.

Dumbest arguments I’ve ever heard that have no concern for public safety or the lives that would be lost if you had your way.

I’m not going to argue with you about this again. I just wanted you to verify that you believe this guy did nothing wrong so everyone can see how ridiculous your position is.

          1. Doing something stupid doesn’t mean doing something wrong.

And “concern for public safety” is just like “for the greater good”. It’s always – always – used to justify a deprivation of liberty and/or property. It takes a fear, exploits it, and then convinces you to surrender your own liberty/property – and takes it from anyone who doesn’t surrender it by force. And for what? The illusion of control.

It’s shitty and it’s wrong, and I don’t understand people who support it. That’s the climate change arguments; the gun control arguments; the living wage arguments; and all the other crap that seeks to bubble-wrap the world, by means of State control, at the expense of freedom.

          2. A 5-6 year old child was hit by an 18-wheeler just a day or two ago in Elgin, Tx outside of Austin at a school bus stop. It is a miracle that the boy survived and is relatively unhurt beyond scrapes and bruises. The semi was heavily loaded. The stop unfortunately is a little ways down a hill, and although there were at least one or two cars behind the school bus, the driver said he couldn’t stop. So he swerved to the right into the grass, and unfortunately clipped the child.

They’ll be investigating the case, tho, I imagine to make sure there wasn’t any distractions or neglect on the semi driver or the bus driver. From what I read other places, the bus driver would always put his arm out , watching in the rear- view mirror until he saw that the cars were stopping, before he let the children off.

            Here’s a link to a news report

            https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/child-injured-in-us-290-incident-released-from-hospital-wednesday/ar-AACJOUr

            1. @susanintexas Wow! Thank God the child is ok.

In this particular accident it appears to me the truck driver should be charged. His brakes were so bad it shouldn’t have been on the road to begin with. From the information given it’s impossible to know whether he would have been able to stop otherwise, but his brakes definitely made it worse.

I hate buses that stop in the middle of the highway. It’s a tragedy waiting to happen and it relies on no one being caught looking at their radio for too long or at the wrong time. Eventually there’s going to be someone not paying close attention and wham!! We have one here that does it and there are a lot of houses there. I mean, how difficult would it be to build a spot to pull over that’s connected to the highway? Sort of like an extended shoulder or something.

  12. Nadler might as well send John Dean back home .Collins and Jordan just destroyed him as a credible witness, but then again we might as well take Nadler off the Committee if we are discussing credibility

    1. Totally agree especially about Nadler. That man is dangerously psychotically obsessed. I’m surprised he hasn’t been called out and censured. He is Captain Ahab and Trump is his white whale. Hope he realizes on some level just how badly that relationship ended?

      1. I was hoping all the rats would be concerned about his passing out again and remove him from his Committee Chair.

    2. @bigsir74 The fact that all the Democrats have to put forward are terrible witnesses says a lot about how weak their case is.

[M]oveable sexual identities are “often founded on nothing more than a confused concept of freedom in the realm of feelings and wants”. … It states that a person claiming identity beyond cisgender (when personal and gender identity is the same as birth sex) are trying to be “provocative”.

So cram it ya buncha attention whores.

    1. I’m sorry, but coming from a place like the Vatican, that probably won’t have much impact at all. What can they say, really, after all the abuse they’ve covered up for decades, and still are.

      1. That’s probably true, but it should be a good lesson in objectivity. Regardless of their prior bad acts, they’re not incorrect on the subject. And that’s all that really matters.

There’s a saying I hope I get credited with one day – “Even Hitler believed that 2+2=4.” Meaning that a truth is a truth, regardless of whose mouth it’s coming out of. And nobody should deny that 2+2=4 out of fear of “agreeing with Hitler.”

            1. Why? People will disregard a message from someone they know to be hypocritical, unworthy, despicable and such. Versus someone who has an ounce of real righteousness. If Hitler and Mother Theresa came to with the same message, who would you be more likely to listen too?
