Here’s how the 2020 Democratic race for president is stacking up a week after the last debate…

We’ve had a bevy of national polling in the last couple of days giving us a good idea as to how the 2020 Democratic candidates for president are stacking up against each other since the second debate.

First up, Politico/Morning Consult released yesterday:

Biden 33, Sanders 19, Warren 15, Harris 9, Buttigieg 6, O’Rourke 3, Booker 3, Yang 2, Gabbard 1, Castro 1, Klobuchar 1, Steyer 1, Bullock 1

Also released yesterday, Quinnipiac:

Biden 32, Warren 21, Sanders 14, Harris 7, Buttigieg 5, O’Rourke 2, Booker 2, Yang 1, Gabbard 1, Castro 1, Klobuchar 1, Steyer 0, Bullock 0

Notice that Warren has leapt ahead of Sanders. We’ll see that in today’s polling too, by Economist/YouGov:

Biden 25, Warren 18, Sanders 13, Harris 8, Buttigieg 7, O’Rourke 2, Booker 2, Yang 2, Gabbard 3, Castro 1, Klobuchar 1, Steyer 1, Bullock 1

It looks like all that momentum Harris had after the first debates has vanished. She’s consistently polling in fourth, very far away from the front runner who is consistently Biden.

It’s still very early in the Democratic primary, but it looks like Biden is the one to beat. But hot on his heels is Big Chief Elizabeth Warren who seems to be winning crowds with passionate no-nonsense answers about her socialist policies. She appears to be eclipsing Sanders at this point. As more of the 2016 nostalgia wears off, she’ll probably push him solidly into third place.

I would expect more attacks on Biden in the coming weeks as we approach the third debate slated for the second week in September. Someone’s got to knock him off his pedestal, right?
