Here’s more on what investigators were looking for in the Cohen raids…

The leaks are rolling in on what prosecutors were searching for in their raids on Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen.

Here’s what they were looking for:

NY TIMES – The F.B.I. agents who raided the office of President Trump’s personal lawyer on Monday were looking for records about payments to two women who claim they had affairs with Mr. Trump, and information related to the publisher of The National Enquirer’s role in silencing one of the women, several people briefed on the investigation said.

The search warrant carried out by the public corruption unit of the Manhattan federal attorney’s office seeks information about Karen McDougal, an ex-Playboy model who claims she carried on a nearly yearlong affair with Mr. Trump shortly after the birth of his son in 2006. Ms. McDougal was paid $150,000 by American Media Inc., the Enquirer’s parent company, whose chief executive is a friend of Mr. Trump’s.

Agents were also searching Michael D. Cohen’s office for information related to Stephanie Clifford, better known as Stormy Daniels, who says she also had sex with Mr. Trump while he was married. Mr. Cohen has acknowledged that he paid Ms. Clifford $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement to secure her silence just days before the 2016 presidential election.

Mr. Cohen’s lawyer, Stephen Ryan, on Monday called the raids “inappropriate and unnecessary.” In an email on Tuesday, he referred back to that statement.

And…

THE HILL – The FBI sought documents pertaining to Michael Cohen’s ownership of taxi medallions when it raided his home and offices on Monday, according to CNN.

The request for information on the medallions came in a search warrant authorized by a U.S. district attorney in New York.

Cohen, who has worked as a lawyer for Trump since the president’s days as a New York real estate developer, reportedly owns a number of the medallions required for operation of the city’s iconic yellow taxis, two sources told CNN.

The warrant approved by a judge reportedly included a long list of requests for information on the payment in question, disbursed just days before the 2016 election, that legal experts say could have violated campaign finance laws.

One person familiar with the warrant told CNN the warrant likely inquired into some smaller investments outside the attorney’s dealings with the porn star known as Stormy Daniels.

I’ve got no love for Cohen at all. In fact I think he’s probably a detestable person in the whole scheme of things. But given how these political investigations have been leaking like a sieve thus far, I’m a little worried about what personal and private information could be leaked inappropriately, to damage him or Trump or whoever.

So far the only leaks have been about what prosecutors are after, not what they’ve found. But I assure you, those leaks are coming soon.
