There’s nothing good for Cruz among the tweets I’ve seen about his potential endorsement of Trump:
I’ve gotten backchannel confirmation that Cruz will be endorsing Trump.

I think @tedcruz endorsing Trump at this point plays to the caricature that he is self-interested, not really principled. Hate it for him.
— Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) September 23, 2016
Or suggests that the caricature was more true than many conservatives had believed… https://t.co/Q8Bx1DXvws

I don’t think Trump even expects to benefit from Cruz’s endorsement. He just wants the satisfaction of watching Cruz scrape.
— Allahpundit (@allahpundit) September 23, 2016
I hope Trump has the decency to return Ted’s balls to him after the election

Cruz has called Trump a liar, a conman, and a sniveling coward. What happened in the last couple weeks to make him suddenly change his mind?
— Matt Walsh (@MattWalshBlog) September 23, 2016
The Cruz endorsement is about future access to the Mercer money.

I guess Ted Cruz did not read my memo that Donald Trump only strips the dignity from those who surrender it willingly.*
*plus Jeb Bush

Ted Cruz and George P. Bush, who might go up against each other in the TX Senate primary, both endorsed the guy who attacked their dads.

Four Cruz quotes about Trump
"This man is a pathological liar."
"The man is utterly amoral."
"You're a sniveling coward."
"I support."— Gabriel Malor (@gabrielmalor) September 23, 2016
With this move, Cruz satisfies…who, exactly?
— Guy Benson (@guypbenson) September 23, 2016
Sen. Mike Lee's spox tells me the Cruz news is a "total surprise." i.e., if he's doing it, he didn't give a heads up
— daveweigel (@daveweigel) September 23, 2016
Ted Cruz expected to endorse Donald Trump after eviscerating him for "maligning" his wife and father.
2016 is a hell of a drug.
— Jason Howerton (@jason_howerton) September 23, 2016
If Ted Cruz endorses Trump then Jeb Bush was the most principled candidate on that stage.
— Ben Howe (@BenHowe) September 23, 2016
I just don’t see why he’s doing it. But whatever. Apparently I am not as good a judge of character as I thought. First Sarah Palin, now it appears Ted Cruz, to a much much lesser degree. He’d still make a hell of a president. But he sadly may never get there now.
