As you know by now the House overwhelmingly voted for the watered down, toothless, non-binding resolution against ‘all hate’ that was originally supposed to condemn the anti-Semitism of Ilhan Omar.
While nearly all Republicans did vote for the bill, 23 of them voted against it.
Here are their names via MSNBC:
- Biggs
- Brooks (AL)
- Buck
- Budd
- Burgess
- Cheney
- Collins (NY)
- Conaway
- Crawford
- Duncan
- Gohmert
- Gosar
- Graves (GA)
- King (NY)
- LaMalfa
- Massie
- Palazzo
- Rogers (AL)
- Roy
- Steube
- Walker
- Yoho
- Zeldin
Dishonest journalists might suggest this will be hard to explain for Republicans:
So far FOURTEEN House Republicans have voted against a bill condemning Anti-Semitism, Anti-Muslim and Other Hatred. Wow. This is going to be hard to explain.

But it’s absolutely not hard to explain. You don’t even have to use that many brain cells to realize that these 23 Republicans were likely offended by the bill and the fact that Democrats wussed out on explicitly condemning anti-Semitism. Heck, even some Democrats like Elliot Engel were frustrated by the bill.
Liz Cheney actually tweeted out a statement making this very point:
One Republican who voted FOR the bill still expressed the same sentiment:
Um...Dems, we already passed a resolution that supposedly condemned Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks, remember?

While I voted for this, let's be honest about what it really is - a deceitful way for Dems to give Omar cover.
Her beliefs won't change. Her committee assignments should. https://t.co/5qpSLHeYfS
I have no real issues with those who voted for it. It’s the Democrats who acted cowardly today and I’m not gonna use this occasion just to beat up on Republicans who voted for a meaningless resolution.
