We all know what a hot mess Maricopa County’s midterm elections have been for the people of Arizona and the rest of the country. It’s two days after election day and we are still waiting on an excess of 400k ballots to be counted.
Here’s the latest that I’ve been able to find as to when we find out the remaining election counts. In short, it appears we won’t find out more until late this afternoon and tonight:
A: Maricopa County’s next report on ballot count is expected between 5 and 8 pm AZ time Thursday. Might get more specific time as day goes on. https://t.co/3DJ3rjDsg3

That’s 3PM – 6PM EST for us.
So how many ballots remain? As I suggested it’s just over 400k ballots as of this morning:
MARICOPA COUNTY: There are have 400,000-410,000 ballots outstanding, including about 290,000 early ballots dropped off on Election Day and 80,000 early ballot drop offs or in-person voters from Saturday night to Monday.

– 239,116 early ballots to be processed and tabulated.

So far, as of last night’s ballot drops, not much has changed yet. Masters is still 5 points behind and Lake is still less than a point behind. We are expecting this to change when more ballots get counted and hopefully that will be tonight.
As always, stay tuned and don’t lose hope.
MINOR UPDATE: The printer issues were even more widespread than initially known:
Maricopa County now says 70 of 223 voting locations were affected by printer problems on Tuesday, up from initial estimate of about 60. All ballots will be accurately counted, officials say. https://t.co/P6Y7xcYn8K
