The left freaked out over a photo showing Brett Kavanaugh turning away from a Parkland shooting victim’s dad and said that it DISQUALIFIED him from the Supreme Court.
But as we suspected, Kavanaugh just didn’t recognize the guy.
From the Hill:
…Kavanaugh told senators — as part of more than 250 pages of written responses to follow up questions from lawmakers — that he didn’t recognize Guttenberg.
“I unfortunately did not realize that the man was the father of a shooting victim from Parkland, Florida,” Kavanaugh said in the written statement.
“Mr. Guttenberg has suffered an incalculable loss. If I had known who he was, I would have shaken his hand, talked to him, and expressed my sympathy. And I would have listened to him,” Kavanaugh continued.
And that makes total sense. He had been inundated by idiotic liberal protesters in that hearing, and there was no reason to believe he would know the guy by sight.
“As the break began, the room remained noisy and crowded. When I turned and did not recognize the man, I assumed he was a protestor. In a split second, my security detail intervened and ushered me out of the hearing room,” Kavanaugh added.
The whole thing has been trumped up by the media as a last ditch effort to nail Kavanaugh, and it’s so sad and pathetic, it’s just not going to work.
Here’s the video:
Another angle of Fred Guttenberg, who's daughter murdered in Parkland-he tries to shake hands with Kavanaugh saying,"My daughter was murdered at Parkland." The WH says an "unidentified individual" the approached Kavanaugh and security intervened, but we can see that's not true. pic.twitter.com/u8MolvJTIY
