Tragedy struck in Charlotte last week, as brave 11-year old Randez Brown died last Friday morning after saving his 7-year-old sister from drowning. The children were jumping rocks in a creek when the little girl fell into the rushing water. Randez did not hesitate to jump in after his sister to rescue her. Here is the local news report from Sunday evening.

At last report, 7-year-old Samiyah remains in critical condition.
This is where my daughter used to attend school, and tonight the school called members of the Sedgefield family to give notice of the terrible incident, as well as instructions on how to help the family in this horrible time of need.
