The House Judiciary Committee, led by Nadler, has decided to hold their hearing anyway without Barr present.
Instead they are showing his empty chair with Barr’s name plate:

Of course Democrats are trying to suggest that they have the high ground, but we all know Nadler is the reason Barr refused to come. Barr was fine with being questioned by members of Congress, as he demonstrated in the Senate judiciary hearing yesterday. But Nadler insisted on Barr being questioned by their legal counsel, which is both disrespectful and ridiculous.
The Republican ranking member Doug Collins spells it out pretty dang well:
Republican Rep. Doug Collins blames Democrats for Attorney General William Barr not showing up at the House Judiciary Committee hearing, saying Democrats are going ” back to a circus political stunt” and “want it to look like an impeachment hearing” https://t.co/yP516yfe80 pic.twitter.com/D9hajDiLNe

After Collins speech, Democrats finally ended the hearing and stopped the Kabuki spectacle.
