A House Republican who won in New York’s Long Island apparently felt the need to unburden himself and admitted he lied to win election.
Rep. George Santos not only lied about graduating college and working with Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, but he also embellished his ‘Jew-ish’ family heritage.

CONGRESSMAN-elect George Santos has admitted to lying on his campaign trail in a bizarre tell-all interview.
The Long Island rep-elect has faced weeks of scrutiny after it was reported that he had misrepresented a number of claims.
Questions lingered around where Santos, 34, had attended college as well as his employment history with high-profile Wall Street firms.
Until today, he had not yet publicly addressed the confusion – but in a bizarre admission on Monday, the Republican candidate confessed to “embellishing” key details on his resume, adding he was “sorry.”
Santos told the New York Post: “My sins here are embellishing my resume. I’m sorry.”
The soon-to-be lawmaker admitted he had “never worked directly” for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup – despite suggesting on his resume that he had.
He also confessed to never graduating from any college, despite previously claiming to have received a degree from Baruch in 2010.
The Republican explained: “I didn’t graduate from any institution of higher learning.
“I’m embarrassed and sorry for having embellished my resume.
“I own up to that… We do stupid things in life.”
Despite the fibs, Santos insisted that he is “not a criminal” and continued to assure voters of his “legislative success.”
He said: “This [controversy] will not deter me from having good legislative success. I will be effective. I will be good.”
Clearing up the Goldman Sachs and Citigroup confusion, Santos explained that a company he worked for, Link Bridge, did business with both financial giants.
He said that he will “be clearer about that,” adding “it was stated poorly” on his resume.
Santos, who was elected to Congress on November 8 to represent the Long Island and Queens-based Third District, was also accused of lying about his family history.
He said on his campaign website that his mother was Jewish and his grandparents escaped the Nazis during World War II.
However, he now says he is “clearly Catholic,” claiming that his grandmother told stories about being Jewish and later converting to Catholicism.
Santos told the New York Post: “I never claimed to be Jewish.
“I am Catholic. Because I learned my maternal family had a Jewish background I said I was ‘Jew-ish.’”
Santos is the first openly gay non-incumbent Republican elected to the House.
The Daily Beast reported last week that he had previously been married to a woman.
So in other words we have our very own Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren now.
Democrats like Morning Joe were quick to jump on Santos and ‘destroy’ him over these lies and embellishments, but Mark Levin responded pointing out their hypocrisy:
