How bad is at the southern border? THIS BAD

We’ve seen the statistics. We know the border is overwhelmed by migrants coming from Central America and elsewhere. But I didn’t realize it was this bad…

FOX NEWS – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is planning to send hundreds of officials to the southern border to help the Department of Homeland Security with the escalating immigration crisis, Fox News confirmed Wednesday.

“TSA, like all DHS components, is supporting the DHS effort to address the humanitarian and security crisis at the southwest border,” a spokesperson told Fox News. “TSA is in the process of soliciting volunteers to support this effort while minimizing operational impact.”

The move, first reported by CNN, is expected to consist of a few hundred officials, with a maximum of 400 volunteers, ranging from department attorneys to, potentially, some air marshals. CNN reported that the agency does not initially plan to involve uninformed airport screeners, but that some parts of TSA will be asked to contribute around 10 percent of their workforce.

The spokesperson said that the deployment schedule had not yet been finalized and that Americans should not be concerned that the deployment will hurt air travel safety because “at this time, the deployment will not include any frontline resources.”

This is a great idea! Send the TSA down there to give migrants awkward pat-downs so they’ll stop coming. Ha!

Seriously though, the fact that they are sending hundreds of officials from the TSA down there should bring home just how desperate it’s gotten at the southern border.

  1. All the eyes are on the southern border when the outrage and attention should be focused on those rats roaming the halls of Congress. They are the problem because they have the power to stop this madness but won’t.

  2. Pssh, everybody knows that the easiest way to sneak past TSA is to put on a turban or a hijab. They screen everyone thoroughly except those guys, so as to not appear to be profiling.

  3. And summer hasn’t even started… as the months get warmer, expect hundreds of thousands more.

    1. Maybe if trump and his ilk would stop giving them water, food and relocation within our borders, they might turn back. Dang, this trump guy is turning out to be JUST what i suspected in the primaries. And thx Kavenaugh for ur recent decision in favor of liberal judges. I just dont even know what to say anymore.

  4. “uninformed airport screeners”……Freudian slip?

Returning to the US on a recent trip, I clearing customs and headed to TSA on the way to my connector. The TSA agent dutifully removed all 7 Kind bars from the box I had in my luggage and wiped each with a cloth and put in his sniffer machine. Didn’t even look at any of the small bags of spices next to the Kind bars. He must of had specific orders, but it really dumbfounded me as to why he chose the wrapped and sealed granola bars over the bags of multi-colored spices.

  5. “CNN reported that the agency does not initially plan to involve uninformed airport screeners”
I’m no fan of the TSa but I believe it should read
    “uniformed”

  6. Looks like we have a new troll and as a Native Louisianian myself, I would like to apologize. Sometimes idiots are going to idiot. It doesn’t matter where they claim to be from.

    1. @Squirrelly He claims to have once been a regular Scooper but left because we all became Trumpets after the election. Sound familiar?

  7. The first thing we should do is remove everyone from the border who are not a part of the security forces Those Attorneys at the Border along with the Humanitarians who are providing food ,water and clothing are attracting to the border more illegals than we could ever safely absorb. We are going to pay for this illegal invasion and every politician who allowed it should be impeached along with the thousands of Judges.who opened up our borders

  8. Good place for the TSA. Something I want to share that is relevant. I’m not one to stay up really late typically, but Sat. a week and a half ago, I was still up after midnight. I was flipping through channels and landed on ABC. Eric Bolling was on and was talking about the Middle Eastern, ie Muslim, people that are being brought to our border. He named the person who is leading this effort and showed a map of their route(s) from the ME to our southern border. We knoe this is happening, but I was dumbfounded that it was being aired on ABC albeit in the middle of the night but WOW!

      1. And stand with their hands in a triangle over their heads. It could really big things down. Especially when they can’t find their passport

  9. I saw the other day that we are so overwhelmed that we are flying the immigrants 500 miles (I think it was) to get finger printed. I kid you not.

    They’re costing us a fortune.

    1. That’s not what I read somewhere in my news feed ( I’ll try to find it ) I read they were flying them out the ones we are deporting

      1. @ruthiedoggiemom I dunno. They could be doing both. I saw it on Fox and it’s with the ones that are being processed.

Speaking of flying them out. If we deport those from Central America I believe we have to fly them back to Central America. If I had my choice I’d dump them on Mexico. They brought ’em, they can take ’em.

  10. There are so many holes in the faux-dam that even these hundreds aren’t likely to be enough to adequately stop the flow. Send congressmen and women down there and turn the into a human fence so they can see first hand just how bad it REALLY is.

  11. TSA? Wouldn’t it be cheaper to put up signs in Spanish that says NO shampoo, hand lotion, nail clippers, small pocket knives, etc. /sarc

  12. I can’t help but say this, but uh, can we get Ted Cruz in there asap? He is so many levels above this idiot. And I wonder when judge Kavenaugh will find it in his heart to stab us in the back again……thanks trump, ur just freakin awesome, what can i say…..

      1. Apologies if I misread Louisiana’s post, but I get the impression they want Ted with The Supremes. Which ain’t a bad idea at this point from where I sit.

        1. I read it that way at first, too, but in re-reading it & seeing his other comments, it’s he wants Ted instead of Trump. Well, that would’ve been nice, but we haven’t invented a time machine yet.

      1. @ruthiedoggiemom Just like a Clintonista, he wants a do over. I think Trump is doing the best he can in re: the border. I’m not sure what Cruz could do differently because of Congress, squishy GOP, and activist judges. This guy must want a dictator and Cruz ain’t it.

        1. @squirrelly I love Cruz…a lot, but I get tired of people that blame everything on Trump and claim that Cruz would have everything solved. It’s a farce. Not only would he have to fight the Democrats he would have to fight the Republican Congress. Congress doesn’t like anyone that goes against the grain and Congress IMO bears most of the blame for the border. Only they can change the law and all I have heard for years are crickets. They don’t want to fix the problem…crisis or not.

      2. LN is only here to rile us up, or reflect his own ignorance. His comments make absolutely NO sense.

        1. @joyfulgiver All I ever see is “Trump SUCKS….Cruz would save the world and have all the answers!” I love Ted Cruz but that election was over a long time ago.

    1. @louisiana_native I am a huge Cruz supporter, but man up already and get over it. You repeatedly mention Cruz and you sound like Hillary Clinton with a crowbar up her ass. Major sour grapes. He LOST!! Move on.

Check your doctor for TDS pills.

  13. Lets see Nazi Pelosi and her ilk defend their reasons why this is a bad idea.
They trash Trump on any decision he makes regarding the border, yet give no solutions of their own.

  14. I’ve been trying to let everybody know that there is a real and growing crisis on the southern border. It’s under reported and scoffed at. I made the following comment on a Breitbart article about a mass capture of illegals in the Big Bend area. My comment is angry and crass, but it’s a truth that needs to be expressed. This is an American sovereignty crisis, but it’s also a big humanitarian crisis. My apologies up front if my comment offends any of you.

The buzzards love this all you can eat buffet stupid enough to risk the elements in this harsh desert area of Texas. So far, our weather this spring has been 15 to 20 degrees below average. The buzzards are getting skinny, but soon that will change and they’ll get nearly too fat to fly!!
I’m really not joking. It’s worse in south Texas with regard to deaths due to the elements. Many of these deaths are ignorant deaths because they don’t really know what they’re walking into. But, most deaths are of those that paid money to be smuggled across the border, only to be abandoned in extreme conditions and temperatures. Or, there are those packed into big rigs without ventilation or climate control, only to suffer horribly and die.
Build the wall and correct all the flaws in our Immigration laws. And, get rid of the PC bu*l*hi* that is insanely stupid and gives only the liberal left and Democrats a wet dream.

    1. I’m learning to walk away from this subject matter as it only gives me a migraine, thereby ruining what’s left of my day.

  17. Pssh, everybody knows that the easiest way to sneak past TSA is to put on a turban or a hijab. They screen everyone thoroughly except those guys, so as to not appear to be profiling.

  18. This ‘crisis’ is a crisis that need not be happening. It’s an occurrence that is happening because our elected officials have self-interest at the root of their inaction. We have every law that we need, already on the books to curtail this CRISIS..I do NOT feel an obligation to provide shelter, medical care, food, etc to a mob of people who just showed up at our door demanding to be let in. (I know, I have no soul). I’m beyond sick of this.

      1. Oh yeah, and I’ve already tried to figure out which one “he” is. That wasn’t a previous moniker around here. I’d remember.

      1. And stand with their hands in a triangle over their heads. It could really big things down. Especially when they can’t find their passport

        1. Is that a thing? I haven’t flown in about 10 years and only 2 or 3 times since 9/11.

          1. Same here @squirrelly, I wouldn’t know how to even BEGIN to pack, since it seems not much is allowed anymore.

          2. @Squirrelly I haven’t flown since July 1997 and don’t plan to ever get on a plane again! And, like @Hidyho, I wouldn’t even know how to pack my luggage or my carry on!!

            1. Same here. This year, we have had to plan vacation around states we can travel through with CCW. That’s enough gymnastics for me.

  22. I saw the other day that we are so overwhelmed that we are flying the immigrants 500 miles (I think it was) to get finger printed. I kid you not.

    1. Unfortunately, the people didn’t nominate & elect Ted Cruz. Now say a serenity prayer.

          1. Thanks for the clarification, squirrelly. I wanted Ted in 2016 too, but we got who we got. Frankly, I’m pleasantly surprised so far.

            1. Same here. That’s why I suggested the Serenity Prayer. Some things we can’t change so roll with it. Trump has gone beyond my best hopes for him so he’s earned my vote in 2020.

      1. LN is only here to rile us up, or reflect his own ignorance. His comments make absolutely NO sense.

          1. @ruthiedoggiemom They hate Cruz over there! I actually think this IS one from over there trolling with Trump hate and mocking us about our Cruz admiration and respect.

        1. @ruthiedoggiemom Wait a second…I originally thought you were saying he sounds more like a female than a male, but now I think you may have been referring to a particular female. If so, i think I know who and you are right. I think her name was Ruth or something like that????

            1. @hidyho I’m pretty sure we’re talking about the same person. For the life of me I can’t remember her name. It’s going to bother me until I figure it out. I’m funny like that.

                1. @kong1967 This isn’t her. And, she has been around a few times as Francis. This is what I told ruthie was my theory.

They hate Cruz over there! I actually think this IS one from over there trolling with Trump hate and mocking us about our Cruz admiration and respect.

                2. @lillie-belle Over there? BB? I don’t mind if someone hates Trump, but they should try to stick with reasonable arguments instead of “Trump is destroying the universe and Cruz will be like ten Supermen at one time to save us!!”

            2. Nope, not Francis. Francis has actually created an account on the new comment platform. I’m going with starts with ‘A’ ‘B’ or ‘T.’

      1. Honestly couldn’t believe what I was seeing on ABC. It’s called “America This Week.” I’ll see if I can find that airing on Youtube.

      2. I couldn’t find it. Looked on Youtube and did an internet search. All of his news desk reporting videos are for The Blaze. ❓

      1. Maybe if CONgress would stop focusing on trying to impeach the PRESIDENT and START doing their job, there wouldn’t be a crisis at our southern border.

Aside from UPHOLDING THE CONSTITUTION, which every member of CONgress SWORE to protect and defend, Congress has five main functions: lawmaking, representing the people, performing oversight, helping constituents, and educating the public. These are responsibilities they are to perform for WE THE PEOPLE. There are laws on the books that need to be changed, CONgress is not doing that and unless you live under a rock you know that. CONgress holds the key in this one, blame your CONgressman.

      LOL

Ya, they aren’t the brightest bulbs right next or maybe a step below Walmart security.

I think the machines only identify things that are jelly or fluid like. What I don’t understand is if they allow fluid bottles under 3.4 oz, what stops me from having a bunch of 3.4oz bottles of some explosive liquid? I just wonder if their rules are really thought out and tested!?
