In another episode of fake news media lying to the public, Huffpo issued a “clarification” to their story about where Trump campaign merchandise is made.
Clarification: A previous version of this story indicated that per a Reuters report, the flags made in the Chinese factory are for Trump campaign suppliers. Language throughout has been amended after Reuters updated its report to clarify that the factory owner doesn’t know whether the buyers are affiliated with the official campaign.
Now look, the headline is clearly designed to leave the impression that they know absolutely that official Trump merchandise is being manufactured in China. It’s obvious they knew they were exaggerating for clicks. And then the article was deceptively written, but instead of issuing a correction, they issue a “clarification.” Finally, they admit they have no idea if this is official campaign stuff. Cheap mickey mouse reporting here.
But it doesn’t matter because Bernie Sanders and others are still spreading it.
What a hypocrite! Given the choice between hiring American workers at a living wage or hiring much less expensive workers from China that he can exploit, Donald Trump opts for the low-wage overseas labor day in and day out. https://t.co/5UXIvEmYar

The ironic thing is that there’s plenty to honestly criticize Trump over. I’m pretty sure there’s a plant in Mexico that manufactures Trump suits while he rails on other companies for sending their jobs abroad:
But instead of honestly criticizing Trump, they can’t help but lie and exaggerate. And that just leaves them open for Trump’s “fake news” attacks. Rinse, repeat, ad infinitum.
Anyway, have ya’ll selves a merry open thread.
