Today a reporter tried to corner McConnell with the ‘unfair’ impeachment narrative, asking him how he would respond to Americans who are concerned he isn’t going to be an “impartial juror” given his comments that he’s coordinating with the White House. But McConnell hit back by dropping a truth bomb on them.
Watch:
.@Senatemajldr: "I'm not an impartial juror. This is a political process. There's not anything judicial about it. Impeachment is a political decision. The House made a partisan political decision to impeach…I'm not impartial about this at all." pic.twitter.com/rtrwbjSIbf

His full response to the reporter was…
“I’m not an impartial juror. This is a political process. There’s not anything judicial about it. Impeachment is a political decision. The House made a partisan political decision to impeach. I would anticipate we will have a largely partisan outcome in the Senate. I’m not impartial about this at all.”
Boom! I would imagine those reporters were shocked, SHOCKED to hear such comments from McConnell. But ain’t it the truth. The House conducted their impeachment hearing in a highly partisan, political way and the media just looked the other way, as they continue to do. But for some Republicans are expected to rise above politics in order to be ‘impartial jurors’, as if there is anything apolitical about this.
Remember, there is no crime in the articles of impeachment. This is all partisan hate politics from Democrats.
As I’ve said before, what’s really going on here is that Democrats and the media want to paint the Senate impeachment process as completely unfair and partisan, so that when the Senate refuses to impeach Trump, they can pretend that his ‘crimes’ didn’t really get a fair hearing and that Senate Republicans simply protected a guilty president.
