President Trump was asked by Bret Baier today about a woman in North Carolina who says prices are still just too high when it comes to groceries, and that someone needs to do something about it fast. This woman is a support of Trump, having voted for him three times.
Trump responded in a way that I honestly feel is tone-deaf. First, here’s the video:
I love President Trump and have zero regrets in voting for him, and would do it all over again. So trust me when I say I’m not against him in any way. In fact, I understand that these things take time and we’ll probably see much lower gas and food prices in the near future.
But in the way he responded to Regina, it was as if he’s saying she doesn’t understand that prices are really down because Republicans aren’t talking about it and Democrats are lying about it. WHAT???
I think Regina believes prices aren’t coming down because she sees it for herself every time she goes to the grocery store. She doesn’t need someone to tell her they are up or down, she sees it every time she pulls out her wallet.
I honestly find very little comfort in Trump’s answer.
For me, I also don’t believe these prices are down. But as I suggested, I fully expect they will be in the near future. As VP Vance said earlier today, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
