As Zeke Miller noted, the framing of President Obama’s campaign event couldn’t be more clear: He is the president.

After taking three days off of the campaign trail to oversee the federal government’s response to Hurricane Sandy, Obama bounded out of Air Force One after his introduction, wearing a leather bomber jacket.

The president delivered his speech from a podium that was adorned with the presidential seal.
