Obama has painted himself into a corner by promising immigration advocates that he would reform the law through executive order if Congress didn’t, and then announcing that he would wait until after the mid-term elections to do so.

It’s clear to anyone that he did it purely for spineless political ambition – the press keeps trying to tell us that immigration reform is popular among Americans, but Democrats have been begging Obama not to push it through executive order before the elections or it would hurt them at the polls.
And now lefty Hispanic groups and illegal alien advocates are ANGRY!
It probably didn’t help that Obama went golfing immediately after the announcement:
