MSNBC’s Katy Tur inadvertently showed the bias of the media today when a Republican congressman recalled to her how Obama was caught in a “hot mic” moment telling the Russians he’d have more “flexibility” after the 2012 election, and she had NO CLUE what he was talking about.
This is just insane:
Now, to be fair, Rep. Rooney of Florida screwed up the story and said Obama told PUTIN that, when he actually told Medvedev, who was the Russian president at the time. He then told Obama, “I vill transmeet thees to Vladimir,” admitting he was just a puppet president.
IN any case, how the hell can you call yourself a competent reporter and not know what Rooney is referring to? Is she just straight out lying to keep her precious audience from shattering after discovering the truth? Or does she really not know about the event that was paraded around for months by right-wing extremists, like me and el scoopo, in 2012?! It’s completely absurd.
NOW, to be fair to the other side, just because Obama was a spineless milquetoast for Russia doesn’t mean anything at all about what Trump will do to defend our interests from Russian aggression. So it’s a bad argument, but Tur’s willing ignorance eclipses all of that…
