Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds hit back at Donald Trump for calling the heartbeat bill a ‘terrible thing’ on Sunday’s Meet the Press.
She didn’t use Trump’s name in her statement, but it’s more than clear she’s directing it at him:
It’s never a “terrible thing” to protect innocent life. I’m proud of the fetal heartbeat bill the Iowa legislature passed and I signed in 2018 and again earlier this year.

According to Ryan Saavedra, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp also responded to Trump’s ridiculous statement:

I’m glad to see a couple of governors condemn Trump’s statement and indirectly defend DeSantis. The heartbeat bill is the greatest attempt by red states to stop the slaughter of the most innocent among us.
