Iran-backed rebels just hit Saudi Arabia’s economy in a MAJOR strike

So look, we post a lot about silly stuff that we laugh about, but there is a lot of serious news out there. This is one of those stories that could have serious and long-lasting consequences.

From the Hill:

“Air Force of the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees, Saturday morning carried out a large-scale operation with 10 drones, targeting Abqaiq and Khurais refineries east of Saudi Arabia,” Brig. Gen. Yahya Sare’e said, adding that operations will “expand” and be “more painful” as Saudi Arabia continues its military efforts in Yemen.

Yeah. That would be the Houthis that are waging a satellite war for Iran in Yemen against the Saudis. Trump has made it very clear that the U.S. under his leadership are going to back the Saudis to the hilt.

This is yuge.

This is a major disruption for the Saudi Arabian economy. That will escalate the war in Yemen. And that will likely drag in more countries.

Graham says we should hit the Houthis:

And, ironically, this happens right after Trump fired Bolton, who was one of the leading advocates for a confrontation with Iran. You can bet people will draw some conspiracy theories from that….
