“It’s gonna kill people!” – CNN host demands video of Trump taking off mask be taken off the air

Another CNN host this morning lost it over Trump removing his mask at the White House, and even demanded that the video be taken off the air because “it’s gonna kill people”:

CNN host John Berman urged producers of New Day not to show video footage of President Trump taking off his face mask “because that’s going to kill people.”

“Take it off! Please don’t even put it on the screen. Please take it off because that’s going to kill people,” Berman said during a segment discussing public health and the president’s recovery.

“Friends, there’s so much to talk about this morning. Obviously, we will discuss the president’s health over the course of the show, but this morning, I think the bigger concern is for the public health,” he said to a panel, which included Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine and professor of pediatrics and molecular virology and microbiology at Baylor University.

“And we’re looking at 210,000 Americans dead, we’re seeing a rise in new daily cases, and the president, in that Sunset Boulevard gesture, whipped his mask off in front of the American people on the nightly news last night,” he said before saying that footage of the president should be taken off the screen.

The footage of Trump was taken off the screen after Berman’s urging to do so.
