Tonight we’ve got good news and bad news about New Jersey.
The bad news first.
BREAKING: Democrat Philip Murphy wins reelection for governor in New Jersey. #APracecall at 6:26 p.m. EDT. #Election2021 #NJelection
— AP Politics (@AP_Politics) November 3, 2021
Ciattarelli’s spokesperson responded to the call this way:
With the candidates separated by a fraction of a percent out of 2.4 million ballots cast, it’s irresponsible of the media to make this call when the New Jersey Secretary of State doesn’t even know how many ballots are left to be counted. https://t.co/DnwIRASspC

UPDATE ON THE BAD NEWS:
"RNC deploys 20 lawyers to NJ as counting continues"
Every legal vote will be counted & our election integrity team (the largest such team ever assembled) will be scrutinizing the process to ensure that's the case & that we get @Jack4NJ elected Governor https://t.co/EpQOZvhnxf

On to the good news:
BREAKING: MAJOR UPSET IN NEW JERSEY SD-3!!
Republican @edwarddurr1 ousted Democrat Steve Sweeney, ending his eleven year run as Senate President.
Congrats, Edward! pic.twitter.com/KpeKLZVfpO
— Republican State Leadership Committee (@RSLC) November 3, 2021
I’ve been watching Durr’s results all day and his lead has only increased. Right now, with 96%, he’s 2,330 vote ahead of Sweeney. Earlier, it was 2,009 votes. So I think it’s pretty clear that he’s won and we’ll take the RSLC’s announcement.
