Joy Reid has managed to make everyone mad. She compared Trump supporters to Islamic jihadists today on MSNBC, and naturally that evil and ridiculous comparison caused justified and correct outrage from the right.
But the left is dragging her too, calling her comments “Islamaphobia” and you have to admit that is just amazing. She got dragged by Ilham Omar!! Because get this, Reid didn’t even say “jihadist” or “extremist” or anything. She just said “Muslims.”
It was awful commentary but at the same time it is GREAT to see her getting taken apart by everyone all together.

joy-ann reid just compared radicalized trump supporters to "the way muslims act"
this is islamophobia, she should apologize immediately. pic.twitter.com/2geymhcBOr

The reactions.
Wondering how fast an apology from Joy Reid is coming down.

Honestly, this kinda of casual Islamophobia is hurtful and dangerous.
We deserve better and an apology for the painful moment for so many Muslims around our country should be forthcoming. https://t.co/megnZyL9dd

Joy Reid just basically said Trump supporters are so violent they are like Muslims. Wow.

Last night @JoyAnnReid said on air that Muslims are violent extremists. This anti-Muslim smear invites white nationalist violence against our community. Reid and MSNBC must apologize and commit to meet with Muslim leaders: https://t.co/65R3k17B7H

This is appalling.
@JoyAnnReid first just throws out “Muslim leaders” encouraging “their followers” to ‘use their bodies to inflict violence’ (which leaders?). Then compares “how Muslims act” to American white nationalist radicalization. pic.twitter.com/4MwYlRbuBj
