Kellyanne Conway and Jake Tapper have a pretty good conversation about the New York Times op-ed, and it stays pretty civil.
But at one point, at about the 6 minute mark, Tapper makes a kinda ridiculous assertion in an attempt to defend his coverage of the op-ed.

That feels a little disingenuous. Mike Pence gave the op-ed credibility by denying it? Why would anyone believe something because someone denies it? Huh?
Tapper is one of the better journalists out there, but I think his defensiveness on this issue underlies the fact that reporters were all too happy to give the op-ed as much coverage as possible. And I don’t think he needed to. The op-ed is a story, and a big one. Tapper didn’t need to justify the coverage of it, but he reflexively blamed the administration when Kellyanne attacked the media over it. I mean, it’s kinda silly to accuse the media when they can’t even control the members in their own administration. Especially coming from Conway, whose own husband is constantly attacking Trump! LOL!! In any case, I say #MAGA!!!
