On Monday of this week James O’Keefe announced that he was having to defend himself in court against a woman in North Carolina, Shirley Teter, who was suing him based on an undercover video he released back in 2016. The video exposed this woman as an activist who had been trained to incite violence at Trump rallies back in 2016.
Today we go trial in Asheville, NC to defend the 1st amendment. MAKE NO MISTAKE. This has nothing to do with our news-gathering tactics. They would never go after @nytimes or @CBSNews like this. But video is real, irrefutable, and undeniably clear – that’s why we use it. (1/4)

We stand by our reporting in the video that is the subject of this defamation lawsuit in Federal Court in Asheville, North Carolina. We accurately reported what a high-level political operative told us on video tape. (2/4)

We did not alter the meaning of his statements, and we preserved the video recording in its original state. We issued the report because the public has a right to know the issues raised in these videos. (3/4)

This trial is nothing more than an attack on the media by people who are ideologically opposed to what we do. Veritas will win! (4/4)

Notice that O’Keefe predicted that Project Veritas would win. And that’s exactly what happened:

BAM! O’Keefe goes to court on Monday and the case is dismissed by Wednesday.
Now that’s the kind of swift justice O’Keefe deserves!
