Jen Psaki is continuing with her misinformation and propaganda about gas prices, putting the blame entirely on both Putin and oil companies:
We debunked a bunch of this yesterday with respect to these oil and gas leases she claims oil companies have that they aren’t using. In short, while they have the leases, they are getting stymied by the administration for all of the permitting they need to drill for oil and sale it. So they can’t use the leases because of the Biden administration.
As far as gas prices, we’ve also pointed this out before but we’ll do it again. Check out this nifty gas price chart I got from the St. Louis Fed:
Notice what the price of gas was, on average, three days before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It was already $3.41 and heading upward. The highest price on the chart, as of a few days ago, was an average of $3.96. So Putin’s war has certainly had an effect on gas prices, but not nearly as much as Biden’s policies. Yet they still insist on lying about this to cover their political arses.
What’s amazing is that even in the face of these blatant lies, four media companies are already saying they want to hire Psaki when she leaves her current job:
