We posted this morning on Trump’s public shaming of Jeff Sessions for asking the IG to investigate FISA abuses:
Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!

Well apparently Jerry Falwell Jr. agrees with Trump so much, that he replied to Trump’s tweet by suggesting Sessions is a Republican establishment cuck or just a coward:
I couldn’t agree more. @USAGSessions must be part of the Bush/Romney/McCain Republican Establishment. He probably supported @realDonaldTrump early in campaign to hide who he really is. Or he could just be a coward. https://t.co/9D1ppRTSyp

I remember when Jeff Sessions was picked to be the AG. I thought it was a good decision then and I still do. I understand that he recused himself from the Russia investigation and some don’t agree with that. But Sessions is one of the most upstanding men you could get for the job and he’s doing the right thing by getting the IG to investigate these FISA abuses.
But to listen to Jerry Falwell Jr., Sessions is a deep state enemy of Trump trying to take him down or something. It’s ridiculous nonsense and it reveals more about Jerry Falwell Jr. than anything else. He puts the ‘cuck’ in cuck!
Several conservatives on Twitter responded to Falwell’s nonsensical tweet as well:
This is pathetic. Truly pathetic. It’s either pathetically paranoid or pathetically hackish. I have my disagreements with @USAGSessions but he’s clearly more honest and principled than @JerryFalwellJr https://t.co/adRqoeiiU6

The competition is stiff, but this might be Falwell’s worst tweet. Unhinged, really. https://t.co/afQuy4rjl9

This is a horrifically dumb tweet. https://t.co/fEjcPStjXp

The stupidity of the first three sentences is striking. The name-calling—“coward”—in the last sentence is even more distasteful. Does Liberty U. not have a board of trustees? https://t.co/0Yf6E6vuu2

Jeff Sessions is neither an establishment tool or a coward. This is too stupid for wordshttps://t.co/vksR40R4Bi

I knew Falwell was a Trumper, but I didn’t realize he was this far gone. But now we all know.
