Joe Manchin has to explain filibuster to hard-headed CNN yet AGAIN as Tapper plays the COME ON, BE COOL card

CNN really just will not accept that democracy does not require their stewardship. The latest example, and the most frequent, is yet another instance of an anchor trying to make Joe Manchin agree to get rid of the filibuster OH JUST THIS ONCE PLEEEEEASE!

It’s Tapper this time around, who actually plays the “be cool” card.

“Is there any circumstance under which you could imagine allowing a carve out for the — I know you oppose getting rid of the filibuster. But there are some people in the more moderate camp like Angus King of Maine, who’s an independent, who said he’s possibly willing to step back from the filibust, his opposition to getting rid of the filibuster, just for voting rights, because he’s so concerned it’s become so partisan,” said Tapper, in the most labored and loaded lead-in to a question ever. “Can you imagine ever doing that?”

This was basically calling Manchin out. This was Tapper signaling that Manchin can either say YES or he’s a racist opposed to voting rights.

That’s what CNN does. Listen to Fake Tapper try to make it sound like a real question. HEY I’M JUST ASKING.

Manchin’s explanation is simple, easy to understand, correct, and American. Jake is too busy virtue signaling about “voting rights” to bother comprehending it.

What a scuzz.
