Just as with every Trump story, this keeps taking more twists and turns. The latest centers around the claim from Mika and Joe that the president basically threatened them with a damaging article in The Enquirer to make them grovel before his feet and stop saying bad things about him.
Trump denied the story with one tweet.

According to other sources, the story from the White House is that Joe called them to try to stop the story, since Trump is such good friends with The Enquirer’s owner. Kushner told him to talk to the Donald, and when Joe said, “he’s angry with us,” Kushner told him, “maybe you should apologize.” That version has just enough space to deny the allegations.
UNLESS Joe has proof that the White House called HIM, right?

NOW, in point of fact, Scarborough has a point – Trump DOES DO that all the time. But he better actually have some proof here.
The Washington Examiner said MSNBC told them they’re not releasing the records:
However, there are no plans at MSNBC to release any of these alleged texts or phone conversation records, an MSNBC source told the Washington Examiner.
Well what good is that. Geez this is just like every other accusation made against Trump – they say evidence exists, but no one actually produces anything!!
IN fact, how is that accusation any different from Trump saying to Comey, “you better hope there aren’t tapes!” when there weren’t any tapes? LOL!!
