John Fetterman now being called a ‘Republican’ by angry leftists after his ‘pinko’ comment

John Fetterman has some on the left up in arms after he defended Israel against the BDS movement in an interview with David Weigel. Fetterman essentially said he doesn’t understand how anyone could want to harm businesses or the people Israel, given that they are a beacon of ‘progressive ideals’ that Americans share.

He also threw in a jab at Harvard saying they were always a little pinko but they are unrecognizable now:

What a great comment in defense of Israel, especially for a Democrat. But that comment isn’t going over well among those in the leftist media like Cenk Uygur:

This is what happens when you get a common sense Democrat who doesn’t toe the party line on every leftist line item. He gets called a Republican! – and Democrats lose hope. LOL, now you know how we feel with RINOs like Lisa Murkowski in our party.

MSNBC’s own Israel-hating Mehdi Hasan took issue with Fetterman calling Israel a beacon of progressive ideals, quoting some anti-Israel publication to suggest otherwise:
