Stossel makes a good point here – that he was doing stories on big government back at 20/20 and he believes that generally people don’t fight big government. We just let our liberties slip away until they are so far gone that getting them back seems overwhelming. So many people believe that the government is a benevolent entity that not only wants to take care of us, but that is the reason it exists. But John nailed it early on in the clip – that there are two ways of doing things: voluntary or by force. If the government is in control, it’s by force. And it’s that simple.
