Juan Williams responds to NPR on O’Reilly Factor

This is an interesting segment because I was happy to see that Juan was visibly angry at NPR and he just isn’t playing it down. Predictably, O’Reilly really loves to play the big brother role and all but vows to keep this on the front burner to put pressure on Congress to defund NPR.

Enjoy.

  1. The Lady from NPR paused before she said ” this is between Juan and His (pause)psychiatrist” because she could not bring herself to say this is “between Juan and his God.” Even tho I usually disagree(politically) with Juan, I’ve always known what a good and decent person he is. A very nice guy, full of integrity. Maggie Attaberry

  2. Keep fighting Juan and its great of O’Reilly to let him host tonight. (I know he has done it before). Bill won’t let this go away either, he pummeled GE day in and day out for years and they finally got rid of that Immelt character.

  3. I believe NPR’S umbilical cord must be cut…
I applaud O’Reilly’s initiativeto get on the stick and pester Congress to do it and the sooner the better.
And as to the moron who says it will survive without taxpayers financing, there are GEORGE GESTAPOWITZ SOROS and the SAUDIS to finance it.

The question is for how long…

  4. Juan is indeed a liberal, but not a progressive. Him I can work with, he’s one of my fav libs. Maybe they’ll get rid of Nancy Skinner and use Juan instead. She’s an idiot.

And all this about the same time NPR was getting 1.8 million from George Soros, hmmmm. Now who was complaining about foreign money influence?

    1. You mean Jane Skinner? I like Juan but disagree with just about everything he says- I think he is well liked by many because he isn’t arrogant-he states his thoughts and feelings and opinions without cutting the other person down. I doubt that he will become conservative but only time will tell!!

  5. Great clip. Indeed, this works to Juan Williams’ advantage – and Fox News’ too. Fox News can strengthen its reputation as fair and balanced and a defender of the first amendment.

The losers in this are the agenda-driven bigots at NPR, Media Matters, George Soros etc. Never in my life have I known such hypocritcal people – they claim to support freedom of speech, democracy, diversity and so on, but the reality is the complete opposite. Shame on them.

  6. “I get nervous as I’m getting on
a plane which a muslim might bomb”
    Then the muslims all picket
    and say he’s a bigot
so they fire a black man named Juan

  7. Juan Williams is/was the last remaining true liberal in the MSM. I think he’s a little shocked to find out just how dishonest his side is/has been. I couldn’t think of a more stand up ideological opponent. He’s honest, fair and more importantly intellectually honest. That’s the rarest quality to stumble across from anyone on the left.

I’m still pissed that a panelist told him to “get back on the porch” in response to something Juan said. Well perhaps now we’ll have an out spoken advocate for just how racist the left truly is.

Listening to Juan reminds me of MLK’s, “judge me not by the color of my skin but by the content of my character.” Juan is an incredible man and his life will be better off with out NPR. His eyes are now truly open to how much the left hates freedom of speech.

Best of luck in your new adventures Juan.

You’re recent firing of Juan Williams and the way it was handled was despicable and disgusting. Till my dying day I will work to make sure NPR and PBS receive absolutely NO public funding/taxpayer money. You are cowards and UnAmerican. You have caved to CAIR out of fear and you are COWARDS. Ironically, you think you are tolerant. YOU ARE NOT! Fox news has much more diversity and tolerance than you pin heads will ever have.

  9. Again, I think Williams is a despicable man, but NPR needs to be de-funded. Government-controlled media is so throughly un-American, I can’t even begin to start to describe how corrupt it is. Furthermore, government-controlled media outlets that bend to the will of muslim malcontents? GET RID OF THEM. NPR has no place in America. Send it to the UK, where they practice that kind of crap.

    1. Perhaps I haven’t been around this particular site long enough to know, but do you want to expound on why Juan Williams is a “despicable man.” It’s so easy to cast aspersion with out ever backing them up with a single example of his despicable-ness. Perhaps you meant to say “NPR is despicable and needs to be de-funded?”

Or perhaps despicable is your way of stating that you disagree with his political views? I don’t know, but what I do know is I have an enormous amount of respect for Juan Williams. I disagree with his positions but I’ve always thought he was intellectually honest. You can still respect someone even if you disagree with them.

      1. Maybe his attacks on the Tea Party and sneering at Sarah Palin might have something to do with it.

Sorry, while I think NPR was wrong and deserves defunding, Williams is no hero to me. He helped create the febrile politically correct atmosphere that turned around and bit him in the a**. He is reaping what he sowed.

  11. JW has always been one of my favorite libs (I’ve also had a soft spot for Carville–I know, I’m weird), but now I have even more respect for him. He’s still wrong on the lib stuff, but he has cojones, and is nobody’s puppet.

Thanks numorless, thin-skinned NPR dumbbells, for giving us crazy right-wingers a bit of an energy boost right before the election. I can’t wait for the de-funding to begin!

  12. NPR has well and truly jumped the shark with this ham fisted move. There is NO way they can undo the damage the did to themselves by the clumsy firing of Juan Williams. I hope he sues the ever loving b-jesus out of them!

  13. What Williams said about Muslims may have been the straw that broke the camels back, but when I read the story earlier on NPR, there was mention that he should have been given a choice of leaving, but that it should have been made clear that is appearing of Fox, “isn’t working.” Went back to try to paste that quote here, and it was gone. Fox didn’t have problems with Juan Williams working for NPR, but NPR never could get over that fact that he was working for Fox. So. . . which one is the more ideological, which one is more open to diverse points of view. Oh no, you mean Fox, when compared to National Palestinian Radio, really is Fair & Balanced?

    1. TO SMELL THE COFFEE :
If you dare comparing FOX to National Palestine Radio, you don’t believe FOX to be fair and balanced ??

I do and would watch it always and not waste a minute on Castro News Network or National Palestine Radio, having leraned long ago which foot did it limp from, even as CNN got rid of (did it actually ?) that Amanpour, the one speaking like having too big a piece of…. food in her mouth and this SANCHEZ who thought he was hot sh..t and didn’t amount to a cold turd, which reminds me of an old saying stating :

“WANNA WATCH A TURD FLYING ??
      GIVE’M POWER” !!!!!

  14. Juan Williams has just learned what Clarence Thomas learned: what the far-left does to a man of color who DARES step an inch off the Democratic “plantation” Juan is a brilliant man and i hope this personal encounter with the true Totalitarian nature of the far left becomes a life-changing wake-up call for him.

  15. I think it’s interesting that rightwingers are defending a leftwinger against leftwingers attempt to silence him.

    The real liberals are conservatives.

    1. Oh c’mon! Juan is reliably liberal but hes not a nutter like most of them. Hes just wrong. I consider myself a conservative and i have always liked Juan.

    2. Yes, the true American traditional liberals are the conservatives. Spot on. The Progressive Movement is full of hate, racism and dishonesty.

  16. God Job Libs! Keep up the good work! Not sure about the line where Bill says Juan did it. NPR did it to themselves. They just can’t help it.

  17. What do Public employee unions, NPR, ACORN, Planned Parenthood etc…have in common?

They are all funded by taxpayer dollars.

Funny how the progressive left has steered Congress over the years into perpetuating this self sustaining “progressive” cancer.

  19. ya know juan is so articulate and clean, and he hardly ever speaks with a negro dilalect. what went wrong?? he could be president. right?

    1. i wonder if the 3000 dead poeple from 911 feelings were hurt…..oops. they dont have them anymore. too funny, marie. nice. peace.

  21. Oh Juan, you certainly belong on Fox, you proved it with that interview.
You sounded like a twelve year old complaining about his unfair parents.

    1. Are you saying that anyone who complains about anything is “like a twelve year old complaining about his unfair parent”?

I suppose that means that the slaves and abolitionists, that the civil rights activists, that social reformers, that the outraged protesters of corruption and scandal, and that ANY concerned citizen ever…. these people are all “twelve year olds” too, huh?

Yeah, you definitely qualify as an ‘idiot’.

  22. I think O’Reilly is crazy and he has to be, because he literally wouldn’t be able to do his show if he wasn’t.

    1. and all the millions of people that watch. ya know who agree with him. like the 60-70% of america must be too dude. except for you. and the 30% who agree with you. yep. you got it. ALL of THEM are the crazy ones. the war on math must end dude……peace out bro.
