Juan Williams appeared on Ben Shapiro’s radio show yesterday to discuss, among other things, Cliven Bundy’s recent comments about black people and slavery. During the segment, Williams had a surprising take on how Bundy’s comments apply to the movement at large.

The thing is here, in the way that we work in our current media culture, as you point out: If you undermine someone’s credibility, writ large, you know that, there’s this now pall over Mr. Bundy because of his views on race, then it calls into question all his other assertions, but it doesn’t undermine, as you are rightly pointing out, concern over government overreach.
This is a key point that many are making, including Dana Loesch on her radio program and in my own post here.
Bundy’s situation was an example in an argument against overreaching, all-powerful federal government. Such concerns do not cease to be valid based on Cliven Bundy’s comments about race. Even Juan Williams can see that.
