REUTERS – The top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee said she thought a Friday vote on the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh would not give senators enough time to evaluate the FBI probe of sexual misconduct allegations against him.
“Well, I believe it is. I believe it’s too soon,” Senator Dianne Feinstein told reporters at the Capitol. “It’s Tuesday and we have to put all the facts together.”
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the chamber would vote this week on Kavanaugh, a conservative federal appeals court judge in Washington.
Feinstein just wants more delay so that something they are throwing against the wall will finally stick. After what she’s done to this nomination process, she’s the last person that should be speaking out against a vote this week.
I remember during the hearing they kept bringing up Anita Hill and how it only took the FBI three days to investigate. Well as of now they’ve been investigating for four days now and soon it will be five. I don’t expect the investigation to last all week, but I do hope that they get on with Kavanaugh’s nomination so this character assassination campaign can stop.
