Just as Netanyahu said yesterday, the state of Israel approved a trip for Rashida Tlaib to visit her grandmother.
They announced it this morning:
The Israeli government said it will allow Rep. Rashida Tlaib to visit her relatives in an announcement Friday, one day after denying her and Rep. Ilhan Omar entry into the country because of their support for the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement against Israel.
Tlaib wrote to Interior Minister Aryeh Deri on Thursday requesting that she be allowed to visit her grandmother, who is in her 90s and lives in the West Bank, and other relatives.
“This could be my last opportunity to see her. I will respect any restrictions and will not promote boycotts against Israel during my visit,” the Michigan Democrat wrote.
Sounds good, right?
But now that Israel has approved her trip, Tlaib is refusing to go:
Silencing me & treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me. It would kill a piece of me. I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in–fighting against racism, oppression & injustice. https://t.co/z5t5j3qk4H

So Tlaib would rather trash Israel than go visit her elderly grandmother? C’mon. This just proves that her trip was never really about visiting her grandmother:
Tlaib sought Israeli approval to visit her grandmother, which was granted. Then she decide to bring Omar and expanded the purpose of the trip. They decided to visit “Palestine” not Israel, they would meet with no Israeli officials only Palestinians, etc….

…This was a PR stunt. The gutless AIPAC fell for it. The media and Democrat Party promote the Tlaib-Omar narrative because of their hostility to Israel. These are truly dark times.

Exactly, it’s a PR stunt used to foment angst and hatred for Israel, which is apparently more important than visiting her grandmother before she dies.
UPDATE: Here’s a copy of the letter quoted above:
