JUST IN: Man arrested for throwing cell phone at Trump!

As Trump was walking on stage today at the NRA convention, a man literally threw his cell phone at Trump. He was a pretty bad shot, but the secret service swooped in and the man is behind bars now:

KNX1070 – An NRA attendee was taken into custody Friday after throwing a cell phone at President Trump as he walked out onto the stage.

In the video, the shadow of a phone being thrown in the direction of the president as he stood at the lectern. Secret Service agents swept in and swiftly arrested the person.

The phone missed the president by a wide margin.

Here’s a bit more info from Katie Pavlich:

Here is video of the cell phone being thrown:

At the end of the video the AP shows a photo of a man. I would assume this is the one who threw the cell phone at Trump, but they don’t say so on the video:

Here’s another video that helps you see it in slow motion:

  1. O/T – this is the most important article you will read all year:

    https://reason.com/2019/04/25/adam-lowther-child-services-police-abuse/

Every. Step. Of. The. Way. Our “system” failed them. The school reporting, the actions of family services, the belligerent and abusive police, the press – everyone except for, wait for it…. the lawyers.

These people’s lives were destroyed. Job. Reputation. Finances. Community. And those kids are scarred for life. What in all the nine hells is wrong with these cops and bureaucrats.

“We never thought this kind of thing could ever happen,” Adam told Reason. “We assumed that law enforcement was competent and we assumed that they obeyed the law. That was a wrong assumption, but that was our assumption.”

EVERYONE – EVERY SINGLE PERSON – NEEDS TO LEARN THAT.

    1. The bit at the end is striking and worth repeating as well:

The state’s coercive power to separate children from their parents is most often experienced by those with scant ability to fight back.

This is something that resonates with the Lowthers. Adam and Jessica are conservatives, but their experience with the criminal justice system significantly altered their thinking.

“Prior to this, I would never have called myself a supporter of Black Lives Matter,” said Adam. “My view of law enforcement has completely changed.”

      1. Thanks for the posting,a similar story ,but on a much larger scale occurred in Manhattan Beach Ca. in the early 1980’s.The McMartins owned a preschool managed and operated by themselves. A similar situation happened to Them.Mother calls Law Enforcement and alleges her Daughter had been molested at the McMartin Preschool.Seven years in trials later, the Mcmartins and three of their teacher employees were aquitted. For Attorney fees and other expenses the McMartins used their homes as collateral for their Attorneys fees. and the Teachers were not allowed to teach elsewhere until the trail finally came to an end seven years later.I believe there was about ten lives that were totally ruined,by the false accusations

      1. Fat chance. This happens to families all of the time, and there are no consequences for the accuser, the police, or family services.

  2. Dam….I hope this guy doesn’t shoot as badly as he throws! At first, I thought it was tossed by obama. 😯

  3. Not doing his friends or family any favors. All of them listed as contacts on his cell phone as contacts will now be contacted by the Secret Service and possibly investigated to determine what connections they have with Mr. Phone thrower

      1. Charli, now that would be funny ,to grab his buddies or girlfriends Cell Phone and toss it at the President. Then quickly point him/her out as the Villians..”they did it,not me,don’t shoot”

  4. Its like Trump kinda noticed it but just ignored it, you can see his head followed it slowly but then came back and his expression never changed.

    1. Such stupid behavior also shows a lack of maturity too. But there is also a lot of that around too.

  5. Real smart guy, throwing all your info at the president. Should’ve thrown his mail up there, too.

  6. Doesn’t look like he was throwing it at Trump, but at the stage for some reason. Maybe he put it on record, and wanted it up there to catch the audio?

  7. You know, if you hate Trump that much is he really worth damaging or destroying a costly cell phone over?

    1. I would have to assume people who commit acts like this one probably are not the type to put a lot of thought into much of anything they do. Their basic emotions rule their world; not deep thinkers or mensa material here. 🙁

      1. @democratsrfubar If it had naked pics of Michelle on it it’s no wonder why he threw it.

  8. Trump is like a crazy person filter. He makes these #nevertrumpers do psycho and pointless things like throw phones and scream at the sky. We should send Trump around the country and lock up all of the people who just can’t help themselves and act out violently. We’d have to send a lot of prison buses to handle the nut jobs in Hollywood who wouldn’t be able to stop themselves.

  9. Always telling my grandsons….no no gotta be careful with Mimi’s phone…why? Its very expensive, it cost $700 dollars! Is that a lot of money…..YES that is a lot of money!

  11. He’ll be placed on the “no fly list” by TSA. Good luck going anywhere from now til the end of time.

  12. Reading the headlines about this. Its so funny how petty they are downplaying something that already doesn’t matter at all. They read “Cell phone thrown as trump walks onto podium”. Might as well be saying “Gun shot as JFK drives down the road”. LOL

  13. What an idiot. What did he think that was going to get him? The left is so unhinged that they don’t care what they do, and he’s probably crying like a little baby now that he’s in custody because in his twisted head, he only threw a phone at the President. Wah Wah Wah! :facepalmg: :facepalmg:

  14. Glad he’s arrested. It literally could have been some sort of explosive device. Hope he stays locked up for a long time. No excuse for this.

  15. Holding a can of Mt Dew is like Jussie Smollet saying they were white and wearing MAGA hats.

Only Trump good old boys obviously drink Mt Dew – a ploy to pass himself off as a fellow red neck deplorable. Deplorable..

          1. I know the grieving process is a 1 step forward, 2 steps back process, @sallyjohanna , 1 day at a time….keep at it! :praying:

              1. @sallyjohanna Prayers Sally, you’re on my mind a lot , God Bless :praying: :praying:

  17. The lack of respect people have for one another, and one another’s property is at an all time HIGH. This action here isn’t surprising, just depressing/discouraging. People have become like a pack of animals (not to insult animals)….class is a lost art form.

  18. And who did this hurt? No one but the moron and his cell phone. Lessons we teach my kids. 😉

    1. There are other lessons here to teach your kids, besides don’t get caught. i hope you cover them all.

    1. Just thought the same thing before I read your comment…..really worth possibly $700 or more phone?? 😮

        1. I gotta think more like a criminal…my mind just doesn’t naturally go there..but you could be right! 🙂

            1. @sallyjohanna Lol, or witnesses or video or proximity. There was no grassy knoll. He was identified right on the spot.

      1. I wouldn’t throw my shoe at Obama. I’d rather step in dog poop. Same damage to the shoe.

    2. @AT I have read about this family and their story in the past and found it an awful abuse by most authorities involved. My cousin and her husband were foster parents in New Mexico for many years and still have close relationships with many of those kids. They finally, and reluctantly, had to get out of the system because of tactics and abuses of these agencies and authorities. But, all cops aren’t like the ones described in this story.

      1. They do as they’re told, Lil. If the bureaucrat says “Storm the house, take the kids” they don’t get to offer independent judgment. And the bureaucrat doesn’t have to offer any evidence or substance whatsoever. If he has an accusation – hell, if he fabricates an accusation – that’s it. The process starts, and the dogs are let off the leash to go wreak havoc.

    3. Good article @atomicsentinel . I’ll tell you more than the police who were definitely at fault to some extent here, the Child Protective Services people are the worst. A friend of my sisters lost her biological children permanently to a lesbian partner who happened to know the CPS people and judges since she was a lawyer. She took this gal’s children away from her, she only had supervised visitation (that the partner routinely prevented her from just to spite her) and could not truly talk with her twin daughters who just didn’t understand why they couldn’t go home with their mom. She never regained custody and I believe the kids are on the verge of 18 (I think they were 10 or 11 when this happened). My sister tells me that these two little girls are so screwed up and hate this woman who took them away from their mother. There will be emotional scars on them that will never go away.

Our neighborhood also had a little boy my son’s age who we were worried about that he was being beaten by his father. One of my neighbors new someone from CPS and called for advice. Her friend from CPS said to NOT call CPS because they would take him away, but eventually return him to the abuser and it would be worse for him. She suggested that we just make it known that he could come to any of our houses any time if he needed to.

There are many tragic things going on with regards to the laws involving children and it’s not getting better. Times have changed from when my Dad was a cop. He was a good guy and always tried to help people solve their problems. The last thing he wanted to do was arrest them or make their life harder because he knew that life was already hard enough. But the new crop that came in after him started to change and he saw the handwriting on the wall. You still have the majority of cops that are trying to do the right thing, but you certainly have the new crop of officers that just go by the book, have no common sense or compassion and act like robots when they need to act like humans.
