Yesterday we told you about a despicable article from NBC News attacking Mitch McConnell over his great-great-grandfathers who, over 150 years ago, owned slaves. They attacked McConnell because he refused to even entertain the idea of reparations for slavery.
Today McConnell has responded and it’s epic:
Sen. Mitch McConnell compares himself to President Obama after being asked whether knowledge of his slave-holding ancestors has affected his stance on reparations.
“We both oppose reparations and we both are the descendants of slaveholders,” he claims https://t.co/lYcdVpINV0 pic.twitter.com/ORth50ttOv

BWAHAHAHA. Well done Leader McConnell. Well done.
In related news, Mitch McConnell also welcomed his Democratic challenger to the race this morning:

LOL! I’m sure Kentucky is gonna love this one.
And to bring us full circle…
Wait, Sooo… a hit piece on Mitch McConnell’s great-grandfather owning slaves came out THE DAY BEFORE Amy McGrath got a huge push for announcing she’d run against him?
