Not only has Chuck Grassley denied Feinstein’s request to postpone the Thursday hearing, he’s now scheduled a vote in the committee for Kavanaugh on Friday morning!
JUST IN: Senate Judiciary Cmte has rescheduled vote on Judge Kavanaugh's nomination for 9:30 a.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 28, one day after Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is scheduled to testify https://t.co/juwm00lZh6

Well that’s just fantastic. And you can be sure that the Democrats on the committee will likely protest this vehemently. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t show up altogether in order to make the vote seem illegitimate to casual onlookers.
With the vote happening Friday morning, it should clear the way for the entire Senate to vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination on Tuesday. Let’s hope we have the vote by then in case we don’t already.
UPDATE: Grassley just tweeted this, suggesting that today’s announcement was simply a procedural requirement. But hey says if they are ready to vote then, they will vote:
Judic Cmte noticed POTENTIAL exec mtg for Friday. Still taking this 1 step at a time. After hrg Dr Ford & Judge Kavanaugh’s testimony- if we‘re ready to vote, we will vote. If we aren’t ready, we won’t. Cmte rules normally require 3 days notice so we‘re following regular order
