It turns out that Kamala’s lying running mate, Governor Tim Walz, is still handing out his congressional coin which has the wrong military rank on it.
The coin shows the rank of ‘Command Sergeant Major’ when his actual rank was ‘Master Sergeant’ when he retired.
The way I understand it, he only held the rank of ‘Command Sergeant Major’ temporarily. It never became permanent because he abandoned his battalion and retired, never finishing the needed coursework.
Which is why he was demoted to ‘Master Sergeant’. He probably accepted that demotion just to get out so he wouldn’t have to go to Afghanistan.
And yet he still hands out this coin with the incorrect military rank. No, he’s not a liar at all.
As Bree Dail also pointed out, Walz referred to himself as Command Sergeant Major on his X profile when he was a House rep:

The man has been lying about his rank and his military service since he left. Sometimes it was explicit an other times Walz just nodded along as people claimed he was a war veteran, never correcting them at all.
