Trump is so batcrap crazy that he makes Kasich look appealing, until he talks for more than ten seconds and reminds you of how whiny he is about losing the entitlement he felt he had to the nomination.
In this clip he whines and whines and makes a swipe at Ted Cruz for having the guts to stand up for his beliefs while surrounded by his political enemies:

Did you catch that? He’s trying to laud his abstaining from the convention but can’t help but seemingly refer to Cruz showing up the Trumpollini:
“I never went in that hall to promote myself, and I wanted, believe it or not, to show respect to the nominee.”
It’s clear that Kasich is just angry that Cruz got so much attention and he didn’t. C’mon guy, get over it. It doesn’t help your cause at all to look whiny and petulant when you’re criticizing the nominee for being whiny and petulant.
