Keystone XL developer officially drops the project

The developer behind the Keystone XL oil pipeline is officially dropping the project and moving on after Joe Biden canceled it on his first day in office:

DC EXAMINER – TC Energy, the developer of the long-contested Keystone XL oil pipeline, is pulling the plug on the project, the company is poised to announce, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The decision by the Canadian company to cancel the $8 billion project comes after President Joe Biden canceled a permit for the 2,000-mile pipeline that would have delivered crude from Canada’s Alberta oil sands to refineries on the Gulf Coast.

The move, part of a day-one climate change executive order, drew backlash from Republican lawmakers and even some Democrats who said the cancellation would kill thousands of construction jobs.

After Biden’s decision, TC Energy suspended work on the line.

TC Energy confirmed Wednesday it is canceling the project after the Washington Examiner reported the news.

We tried to tell people last year that if they voted for Biden, this would happen. And sadly, a majority of union workers still voted for him.

Now thousands of jobs are officially dead all in the name of phony climate change. All the while, Biden removes sanctions off the developer behind Russia’s pipeline so they can finish building it. What a kick in the face.
