Lego to remove ‘gender bias and harmful stereotypes’ from toys

Lego, who was dogged a couple of years ago for using stereotypical language about girls loving to bake as opposed to working in a scientific lab, has done a full reverse course now and says it will remove all ‘gender bias and harmful stereotypes’ from their toys:

NY POST – Lego on Monday vowed to rid its toys of “gender bias and harmful stereotypes” in a push to make them more accessible to girls.

The world’s largest toymaker has already stopped labeling its products as “for girls” or “for boys” and its website does not allow searches by gender, The Guardian noted.

Recent product lines have also “been specifically designed to appeal to boys and girls,” the company’s chief product and marketing officer, Julia Goldin, told the UK paper.

“We’re testing everything on boys and girls, and including more female role models,” said Goldin.

“Our job now is to encourage boys and girls who want to play with sets that may have traditionally been seen as ‘not for them,’” Goldin added.

“We’re working hard to make Lego more inclusive,” Goldin said.

This is more than just wanting to sell legos to girls. If it was just about that, the company could make lego barbie houses and things of that nature to just appeal to girls.

Of course it’s always about sales. But it looks to be much more than that, as Lego is essentially erasing gender from their toys in an effort to conform to this ‘gender neutral’ ideology coming from the LGBT movement. In doing this, they can claim their toys are ‘transgender’ as well as for boys and girls. It looks like a strategy to apologize for past ‘sins’ and get back in the good graces of leftists.
