Earlier we reported on Gospel Singer Kim Burrel being targeted for daring to say what Christians have believed about homosexuality for two thousand years. At the end of that post I ponder whether Ellen Degeneres was going to show that famous “liberal tolerance” to views different from her own and cancel Burrel’s appearance.
I shoulda bet money on that:
For those asking, Kim Burrell will not be appearing on my show.

Odd. I was told that it was Christians who are intolerant, but Burrel is willing to perform with people that she disagrees with, while Ellen and Pharrel aren’t. How does that work again?
DeGeneres confirmed the rumors on Tuesday afternoon, tweeting, “For those asking, Kim Burrell will not be appearing on my show.” The singer was scheduled to perform a track from the Hidden Figures soundtrack alongside Pharrell Williams (who wrote the film’s uniformly excellent original songs), but Gossip Cop reports Tuesday that he will now be “performing alone,” and that DeGeneres “may address the controversy” in a later episode.
Pharrell posted this pointed message on his Instagram:
NO KIND OF PREJUDICE – unless you hate Christians, and want to undermine the values that were the underpinnings of Western Civilization for two thousand years. We can’t have none of that. The world will be all inclusive – of every perversion and evil, but not of Christians.
