Today Lindsey Graham applauded Trump on his move to end birthright citizenship for illegals, noting that while he himself has supported comprehensive immigration reform, he’s always been against this and said it needs to end:
Finally, a president willing to take on this absurd policy of birthright citizenship. https://t.co/kCa0ko7P76

I’ve always supported comprehensive immigration reform – and at the same time – the elimination of birthright citizenship.

The United States is one of two developed countries in the world who grant citizenship based on location of birth.

This policy is a magnet for illegal immigration, out of the mainstream of the developed world, and needs to come to an end.
Graham even announces that he’s going to create legislation in the Senate to undo it as well:
In addition, I plan to introduce legislation along the same lines as the proposed executive order from President @realDonaldTrump.

Actually I think Trump’s EO has a better chance of making it past the Supreme Court than does Graham’s legislation getting past the Senate. But that is exactly where this needs to happen.
As we discussed in the comments in the other post, it could be that if Trump’s EO makes it to the Supreme Court, the court could undo birthright citizenship for illegals. Or maybe they won’t.
Also kudos to Graham on his Twitter pic:
