LISTEN: Fauci says Americans ‘don’t believe science’ or ‘authority’, Tapper and Gupta agree and blame Trump

Dr. Anthony Fauci was on the official HHS podcast “Learning Curve” today and bashed the American public as basically reactionary, anti-science jerks who hate authority. Authority being him, you see.

“One of the problems we face in the United States is that unfortunately, there is a combination of an anti-science bias that people are — for reasons that sometimes are, you know, inconceivable and not understandable — they just don’t believe science and they don’t believe authority,” he said.

“That’s unfortunate because, you know, science is truth,” he said. “It’s amazing, sometimes, the denial there is.”

He compared people who have lost faith in the task force’s predictions and advisories about things like social distancing with people who are antivax. Then explained why he’s an authority of truth.

“I think the people who believe are people who understand and who have trust in someone who has a very, very long track record of always speaking the truth based on evidence,” he said, “and I’ve done that through six administrations.”

LISTEN:

CNN’s Jake Tapper must have been disappointed that Fauci didn’t blame Trump for it, so he had the network’s Sanjay Gupta on this afternoon to make sure that part was tacked on.

WATCH:

We are all backward hicks who think the moon landing was fake and eat racist syrup while refusing to be vaccinated. And also Trump. But if we would just Respect His Authoritah it’d all work out.

Great messaging. From the guy who just admitted they lied earlier this year when they said masks won’t help.
