The Supreme Court this morning will hear arguments on whether social media companies can censor or deplatform someone simply for their political speech.
At issue are laws that both Florida and Texas passed in 2021 protecting their citizens from this type of censorship by social media companies like Twitter and Facebook.
Governor DeSantis lays it out for us:
Does Big Tech have a right to censor or “deplatform” you for political speech it does not like?
The US Supreme Court will consider that question today in arguments involving laws enacted by FL and TX designed to protect individuals from political censorship. pic.twitter.com/59yiavqyq4
