Liz Cheney thinks she’s going to save the country like Abraham Lincoln [VIDEO]

It won’t shock you to learn that Liz Cheney has an overinflated ego who wants to destroy Trump.

But last night she literally put herself in the shoes of Abraham Lincoln:

Cheney said:

The great and original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln, was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House before he won the most important election of all. Lincoln ultimately prevailed, he saved our union and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history. Speaking at Gettysburg of the great task remaining before us, Lincoln said that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from this earth.

Cheney has a serious Lincoln complex and she thinks she’s going to save our union from Trump. Good grief!

And if that’s not bad enough, she told NBC this morning that she’s considering a run for president:

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said hours after losing her reelection primary to Trump-backed challenger Harriet Hageman that she is “thinking about” running for president.

“That’s a decision that I’m gonna make in the coming months, and I’m not gonna make any announcements here this morning. But it is something that I am thinking about and I’ll make a decision in the coming months,” Cheney told NBC’s “Today” show early Wednesday when pressed on if she is thinking about a White House bid.

The disclosure came less than 12 hours after major networks projected that Cheney, the Wyoming Republican who hails from a political dynasty, lost to Hageman, Trump’s hand-picked candidate to take on one of his largest critics in Congress.

As of 7 a.m. on Wednesday and with more than 95 percent of the vote in, Hageman led Cheney, 66.3 percent to 28.9 percent, according to The New York Times.

It’s no shock that Cheney is wanting to run for president because we know she wants to play spoiler. As I’ve said before, there’s no way she wins a Republican Primary in 2024. Thus she’ll be left to run as a third-party candidate in hopes of splitting the vote with Trump in the general, just like Even McMullin tried to do. He failed.

But the fact that she thinks she’s the new Abraham Lincoln, well that might be enough to get her into a padded room.
