Liz Cheney is highlighting something Pelosi said last night on 60 Minutes about the transcript of Trump’s call to the Ukrainian president in July:
.@SpeakerPelosi said on 60 Minutes last night she knew the details of the classified Ukraine call before White House released transcript. This is starting to seem like a political set up. So, Madame Speaker, “what did you know and when did you know it?” pic.twitter.com/g5tlL5hBsX

Cheney asserts that Pelosi admitted that “she knew the details of the classified Ukraine call before White House released transcript”. The reason this is important is that Trump called Pelosi the day before he released the unclassified transcript of his July call, on the day that Pelosi said Democrats were launching an “impeachment inquiry”. The transcript of the call wasn’t public domain yet, as Pelosi asserts. So how did she know “what was in the call”, as she suggests?
Maybe Pelosi goofed and admitted something she didn’t mean to admit. If that’s the case, it’s a big deal.
But it’s also possible that Pelosi was referring to comments that Trump had already made publicly about the call, where he had admitted to talking with the Ukrainian president about Biden. We heard Democrats last week making a big deal about Trump’s statements regarding the call, saying they didn’t need a transcript to impeach him. As much as I am suspicious of Pelosi, I really think that’s all she meant based on the way she said it in the interview.
